Welcome to Ann Wistrcill’s Web Site

I have taught a wide variety of art classes at Winona Senior High School. I have enjoyed working with students and teaching them the fundamentals of art as well as providing them with the opportunity to creatively express themselves. The classes I have taught include: Intro to Art, Drawing I, Photography as Art, Advanced Photography, 3-D Design and Sculpture, Painting, Advanced Painting, Junior Studio, Senior Studio and at one time Yearbook and Art and Technology. You may access specific course syllabi by selecting the tab to the left. You may also access course descriptions and project examples that are posted as Power Point Presentations by choosing that tab. I encourage you to do so.

My background:
I have lived in the Winona area longer than anywhere else. I definitely like to call it home. I was born and raised in Iowa. I went to the College of St. Teresa for my undergraduate degree and later received my Masters Degree from Winona State University. I was a graphic artist and professional photographer before I began my teaching career. I love to create my own art and especially like painting and photography. My husband Don teaches at Winona State University. We are passionate Warrior fans. We have 3 sons between us. His oldest son is the Athletic Director for the University of Akron. He lives with his wife and 2 sons in Akron. His second son is a WSHS graduate and an F-15 Air Force pilot. He has been stationed many places and is currently in Mississippi with his wife and their 2 daughters. My son is also a WSHS grad. He is currently in New York City pursing film making.
